Vástago ascendente y válvula de compuerta de vástago no ascendente

Mar 08, 2024

Working Principles and Mechanisms:
Gate valves, essential components in fluid control systems, operate using distinct mechanisms depending on the design. The rising stem gate valve employs a straightforward approach, manipulating the gate plate's position by vertically moving the stem through rotation. This stem protrudes from the valve body, offering visibility of both the stem's driving thread and the gate's opening and closing positions. As the valve opens, the stem ascends, providing a clear visual indication of the valve's status. In contrast, the non-rising stem gate valve utilizes a lifting screw that only rotates without any vertical movement. This screw's rotation lifts the gate, and typically, the lifting screw remains exposed for easy identification and maintenance.

Advantages and Disadvantages:
The rising stem gate valve's intuitive visual cues, facilitated by its external stem movement, provide operators with immediate feedback on the valve's status, enhancing situational awareness and minimizing the risk of misjudgment. This feature is particularly advantageous in critical applications where precise monitoring is essential to prevent operational issues and ensure system integrity. However, in environments characterized by harsh conditions or limited space, the external visibility of the rising stem mechanism may pose challenges. Exposure to corrosive substances, extreme temperatures, or physical damage could compromise the valve's performance and reliability over time.

The choice between rising stem and non-rising stem gate valves depends on various factors, including space constraints, environmental conditions, and the need for visual status indication. Rising stem gate valves are commonly used in critical applications where precise valve monitoring is crucial, such as in industrial processes or pipeline systems. On the other hand, non-rising stem gate valves find applications in situations where space is limited or where external visibility is less critical.
