How to Select Flange Gate Valves?

The selection skills of flange gate valves mainly include the following two points:

1. Structure and operation principles of radiator flange gate valves
The temperature control in the user's room is completed by the radiator thermostatic control valve. The radiator thermostatic control valve is composed of a constant temperature controller, a flow regulating valve and a pair of connectors. The core component of the thermostatic controller is the sensor unit, namely the temperature package. The temperature chamber can sense the change of ambient temperature and change the volume, and it can drive the valve core of regulating valve to shift so as to regulate the water quantity of radiator to change the heat dissipation capacity of radiator. The setting temperature of the flange gate valve can be adjusted manually. The flange gate valve will automatically control and regulate the water quantity of the radiator according to the set requirements, which can achieve the intention of controlling the indoor temperature. A flange gate valve is generally installed in front of the radiator through the automatic regulation of flow in order to complete the residential demand of room temperature. Flange gate valves can be dividede into two-way flange gate valves and three-way flange gate valves. The three-way flange gate valve is mainly used in single pipe system with crossing pipe. Its shunt coefficient can be changed in the range of 0-100%, and the flow regulation room is large. However, the price is relatively expensive and the structure is messy. A two-way flange gate valve is used in double pipe systems and single pipe system. The resistance of two-way flange gate valves for double pipe systems is larger than that for single pipe system. The temperature sensing package and valve body of flange gate valve are generally assembled as a whole, and the temperature sensing package itself is the field indoor temperature sensor. If the long-distance temperature sensor can be placed in a long-distance heating system, the temperature sensor can be placed in the room.

2. Selection and planning of flange gate valves
Flange gate valves
are the most important conditioning device for flow regulation in heating systems. Other conditioning valves are auxiliary devices, so flange gate valves are necessary. If a heating system is not equipped with temperature control valves, it can not be called heat metering and charging systems. In the planning of flange gate valves, it is very important to select the right type. The selection intention of flange gate valve is to confirm the KV value (flow coefficient) according to the planned flow (under known heat load), and then confirm the diameter (model) of temperature control valve by KV values. Therefore, the connection between KV values and diameters must be given in Planning Atlas or factory samples. Otherwise, it is inconvenient for planners to use it.

In the selection and planning of flange gate valves, it is not just to select it with the same diameter as the pipeline. It is necessary to form an ideal differential pressure operating condition for the selected flange gate valve in the selection process. The working pressure difference of a flange gate valve is usually between 2 to 3mH2O, and the maximum is not more than 6 to10mH2O. Therefore, the range of preset value of flange gate valve must be given to avoid noise and affecting the normal operation of flange gate valves. When there are more than two diameters under the same KV value, the flange gate valve with small diameters should be preferred. The purpose is to improve the conditioning performance of the flange gate valve.
