Product descriptions
An insulation ball valve is also called a jacketed ball valve. A jacketed ball valve is welded with a metal jacket on the basis of a ball valve and then the jacket is injected with steam, other heat preservation or cold preservation media to ensure that the medium in the valve can work normally. The jacketed ball valve has good heat preservation and cold preservation characteristics, and the valve diameter is the same as the pipe diameter. At the same time, it can effectively reduce the heat loss of the medium in the pipeline.
According to the different structure of the jacked ball valve, it can be divided into an integral thermal insulation ball valve, a two-piece thermal insulation ball valve and a wafer thermal insulation ball valve. The jacked ball valve is widely used in system pipelines in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, metallurgical and other industries.
Application ranges
Jacketed ball valves are mainly used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, pharmaceutical, food and other systems to transport media with high viscosity such as heavy oil and glue types that solidify at room temperatures.
Structural features
The jacketed ball valve adopts integral jacketed structure design, which can keep heat and cold more evenly. The insulation ball valve has smaller volumes, lighter weights, no leakages and good sealing performance than those of ordinary ball valves. The jacket adopts carbon steel pipes by welding, which is more pressure resistant and firmer than those made by casting. The jacket and outer side of the valve body are welded to the jacket pipe, and the maximum pressure of steam or cold water is 1MPa.
The jacketed ball valve has good heat preservation and cold preservation characteristics. Except for the jacketed ball valve with a reduced bore, the diameter of the valve is as big as the diameter of the pipe. The medium flows in a straight line, and the resistance is small. It can effectively reduce the heat loss of the medium in the pipeline, so it has excellent performance for liquid media that are easy to solidify and have high viscosity.
